Initially blind and deaf, his spirit shone through as he regained his sight after the first of many surgeries throughout his life.

Waylon was a remarkable companion, deeply cherished by his family. As a loving son to Lori and Nathan, and a playful brother to Allie and Alyssa, he captivated their hearts with every playful bark and joyful cuddle. He formed a special bond with his litter mate Magnolia Jane and older sister Reighanne, who shared in his adventures filled with love and laughter.

Known for his gentle nature, Waylon thrived on those moments spent snuggling with his mom, making it a priority to ensure this time was never disrupted. His vibrant personality shone through even on the days he faced numerous veterinary visits to manage his complicated medical issues. Despite these challenges, Waylon found joy in the company of Millie, Allie's dog, and took every opportunity to tease the donkey, showcasing a playful spirit that endeared him to everyone around him.

In quieter moments, Waylon would lay on his back, gazing up at the planes flying overhead, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a definitive routine—assisting his mom with her Zoom calls during the day and winding down with his favorite show, Wicked Tuna. Waylon departed this world on March 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories. His special friend Sophie is remembered fondly, and together they shared countless adventures filled with joy and friendship.
