It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Squirt Johnston on May 5, 2026. Squirt was a cherished companion, beloved for his unique personality and the warmth he brought to those around him.
When Squirt first came into the lives of his family, he was a shy and quiet presence. Yet one unforgettable day marked the beginning of his blossoming into a character full of life and curiosity. It began with a peculiar chattering sound, which turned out to be his reaction to spotting a lizard on the window sill. From that moment on, Squirt found his voice and delighted in chattering away at the birds and bugs that frequented his view throughout the day.
Squirt's love for his human family was evident in his tender and affectionate nature. If you were fortunate enough to be one of his chosen people, you would know the joy of his cuddles. He held a special fondness for being carried and cradled as if he were a baby, a testament to the deep bond he shared with those who adored him. His discerning tastes also extended to the simple pleasures of life; he insisted that his water come straight from the refrigerator, reflecting a refined preference that was uniquely his own.
Known for his vocal manner, Squirt engaged in daily conversations with his family, filling their home with lively communication and connection. His presence was not only a source of companionship but a daily reminder of love and loyalty.
Squirt leaves behind Layla, his devoted cat mom, who was privileged to share countless moments of joy and tenderness with him. Though Squirt’s absence will be deeply felt, his spirit and the memories of his distinct personality endure.
We honor Squirt Johnston’s life and the special place he held in the hearts of those who loved him. May his memory be a comforting presence to all who knew him.
