In loving memory of Sophie Maisie Eros.

Sophie Mae was a quiet, gentle soul whose greatest gift was the comfort she brought to everyone around her. She never sought attention for herself, yet she had a way of making people and even other animals feel safe simply by being near her. She greeted new faces with kindness, welcomed affection, and found her happiest moments curled up close to the people she loved.

Unless she was in a car, she thought she was big and bad and needed to defend the vehicle she would get so defensive in a drive thru or in a parking lot. she always loved car rides. She liked to burrow and bury herself under covers sometimes we would think she had escaped her kennel or was hiding somewhere else because she would let flat and look like she wasn’t there. When she comes out of the pile she would drag the entire cover with her till she escaped it and this would always bring a smile to my face.

She shared a deep bond with her dad, often looking for reassurance before trying something new, as if asking, ‘Is this alright?’ That trust, steady and unwavering, was one of the many ways she expressed her love. And she had a playful side too, Like that 4th of July when She barked at the fireworks, chasing after them, but never too close, and the time at the pool, when she looked as if she might leap in to rescue you, even though you were the one swimming.

She made life brighter just by being herself. Sophie wasn’t just a pet. She was a quiet companion.
