In Loving Memory of Roxie 🐾

2015 – August 9, 2026

Our sweet Roxie passed away at home during the night of August 9, 2026. Because Roxie was adopted from a shelter, we never knew her exact age or birthday, but we believe she was approximately 11 years old.

We may not have known all of Roxie’s story before she came to us, but from the moment she joined our family, she fit seamlessly into it. It was as though she had always belonged with us.

Roxie was a little dog with a very big personality. She loved blankets, naps, snuggles, and finding the coziest spot in the house. Once she settled in for a good nap, there was no wondering whether she was asleep—Roxie snored. Loudly. Somehow, that ridiculous little snore became one of the sounds of home.

She was also opinionated, cranky at times, and occasionally a bit of a bully to the bigger dogs. Roxie may have been small, but she clearly never realized it. In her mind, she was perfectly qualified to keep everybody else in line.

But with people, Roxie was nothing but sweetness. She was snuggly and affectionate and seemed to love every person she met. Give her a warm lap, a soft blanket, and someone willing to love on her, and she was perfectly content.

We don't know exactly when Roxie's life began, or everything that happened before she found her way to us. What we do know is that she became ours, and we became hers.

She filled our home with warmth, laughter, sass, snuggles, and some impressively loud snores. Her blankets and favorite napping spots are still here, and the house feels a little quieter without her.

Roxie was loved for exactly who she was—our sweet, snuggly, cranky little shelter girl who walked into our family and somehow made it feel like she had been there all along.

Rest easy, Roxie girl. Find the softest blanket in Heaven, curl up somewhere warm, and snore as loudly as you want.
