For Max

We may not know the exact day you were born, but we know the day we had to say goodbye - June 4, 2026.  And between those days was a lifetime of love.

Max, you were never just a dog.  You were family.  You were a son in every way that mattered, and we loved you more than words can ever say.  You filled our lives with joy, laughter, loyalty, and unconditional love.

When the kids first came home, you took it upon yourself to be their guardian.  You would sleep beneath their cribs, watching over them through the night.  If they cried, you were there.  If they needed comfort, you were there.  You loved them as fiercely as we did.

You traveled through life with us - from Tallahassee, to Panama City, to Columbia, Alabama, and finally to Dothan, Alabama, where you laid down your burden and found your rest.

The paw prints you left on our floors have long faded, but the ones you left on our hearts never will.  Your wagging tail, your faithful eyes, your gentle spirit, and your endless love will remain with us forever.

Thank you for every moment, every memory, and every year you gave us.

We love you Max.

Always and forever.

Billy, Suzan, Alex, and Zack Sweeney.❤️🐾
