Holy Tara Blackmon, affectionately known as “the puppy,” graced this world with her vibrant spirit from October 11, 2012, until her departure on December 23, 2025. She was not just a pet but a beloved member of the Blackmon family, bringing laughter, joy, and a touch of feistiness that brightened every day.

From her delightful obsession with snacks to her vibrant personality, Holy Tara was a true food connoisseur who relished nightly treats of popcorn, chips, and French fries. Even in her battle with heart failure over the last eight months, she displayed an unwavering tenacity for life and a stubborn resolve to enjoy her cherished snacks, even if they sometimes clashed with her medical diet. Her great love for these indulgences was matched only by her spirited squabbles with her sister, Brownie, as they fiercely contended for the best snacks and the comfiest sleeping spots. These playful rivalries were a testament to the warmth and camaraderie they shared, etching joyful memories into the hearts of those who witnessed their antics.

A true warm-weather dog at heart, Holy Tara preferred basking in the sun rather than enduring the cold or rain. She had a way of ensuring her paws remained dry, often letting her family know her preferences with charismatic persistence. Known for her stubborn streak, she could be quite vocal when displeased, barking until she had her way or opting for a sulking silence that demanded attention. Yet, through all her sass, her loving nature shone brightly.

Holy Tara leaves behind a loving family: Cheri and Bart Blackmon, her devoted pet parents who doted on her every need; and her cherished furry siblings, Brownie and Abbie. She also held a special place in the hearts of her extended family, including Wyatt, Sophi, and Abel Baggerly, who embraced her as an irreplaceable part of their lives.
