Guss Barfield

Guss, affectionately known to us all, departed on Saturday, June 27. Guss was a spirited companion with a love for travel and adventure, always eager to explore—whether it was a hotel, a park, or the beach. Though the waves were not his favorite, he delighted in the sand. He had a strong dislike for rain and snow but an even stronger love for his family.

In moving to care for the grandparents, Guss's skills as a service dog became truly evident. He vigilantly watched over P during yard work and stayed close to G to ensure safety with her walker, offering protection and unwavering affection.

Sundays and holiday gatherings, especially Christmas, were times he cherished. Amazingly, he could always find his gifts wrapped in tissue paper beneath the tree.

His presence is deeply missed, and our love for him will remain forever.
