It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Boss Nekhenzon, affectionately known as "Bossenka," who left us on the 4th of April, 2026, in Dothan. Boss's departure marks the loss of a truly steadfast and beloved companion, whose presence was a source of unwavering loyalty and affection.
Boss was, in every sense, a paragon of devotion and love. His personality was infused with an indomitable spirit of trust and steadfastness. Throughout the years, he remained an inseparable and constant study companion to Anastasia, never leaving her side as she pursued her lessons and ambitions. His unyielding attachment was not confined merely to moments of study; he tirelessly claimed the most cherished spot on the bed, a testament to his enduring desire to be near those he loved. Even when his brothers were young, Boss’s yearning to remain close to Anastasia and Alex was palpable and persistent.
A particularly endearing and humorous memory that captures the essence of Boss’s closeness to his family remains vivid: in a moment of fatigue from the relentless demands of parenting, a baby’s cries were so strikingly akin to those of Boss’s own sibling that in a fleeting minute, exhausted parents momentarily mistook Boss for his crying brother. This small yet poignant anecdote beautifully illustrates the deep involvement and integral place Boss held within his family’s daily life.
Boss’s heart was most content when simply sitting with his family, basking in their presence and surrounding himself with the love of his people. His affection knew no bounds, and his wish was always to remain close, to share in the warmth and solace that family brings.
He leaves behind Anastasia, his devoted dog mom; Alex, his steadfast dog dad; and his human brothers, Jacob and Philip, who all cherished him deeply. Each of them has lost not only a pet but a beloved member of their family whose absence will be felt tremendously.
Boss Nekhenzon’s memory will live on, a radiant emblem of loyalty, love, and trust. He will be missed beyond words, his spirit forever etched in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know the depth of his companionship. Rest in peace, dear Bossenka—you were, and always will be, irreplaceably loved.
